STACK EMISSION MONITORING

How to collect NOx sample from the stack for monitoring.

NOx sampling apparatus is used for monitoring NOx. Follow the steps of monitoring as mentioned in the manual provided with the kit.

How to carry out sampling if the diameter of the stack is more than 1m.

Pitot tubes and sampling probes are available (up to 4m size) and can be procured to meet such requirements.

How to select thimble with different temperature of the stack.

Cellulose thimbles can be used for stack temperature up to 150 degree Celsius and Glass fiber thimbles can be used up to a temperature of 500 degree Celsius.

How to carry out the stack emission monitoring accurately, if flue gas is heavily dust loaded?

Appropriate cyclone and dust collectors can be placed ahead of the filter holder to collect the coarse dust particles before they reach the thimble.

Can I keep the vacuum pump on the ground while monitoring?

Yes, extended hose pipe is available (length up to 10m) to connect the vacuum pump with the instrument panel.

Can a normal vacuum pump be used in oil refineries?

No, one has to use a vacuum pump driven by a flame-proof motor for oil refineries.

Vacuum pump is not working

Contact EIPL service engineer.

Can I use a normal sampling probe in case of high moisture in stack emissions?

Heated probes are available to be used in high moisture conditions.

How do I find out the density of flue gas?

Density can find out by using ORSAT Apparatus or the flue gas analyzer

How to assemble a stack monitoring kit at the time of monitoring and how to connect impingers?

Refer to the operation manual. For further support, please get in touch with EIPL service engineer.

PM 10 Sampler

Instrument is not working on switching ON the power.

Check the power cable, socket, fuse and MCB. Also, check the timer is in ‘Manual Mode’.

Flow rate is not indicated in the manometer tube.

Ensure that the distilled water is filled in the manometer tube up to the ‘Zero’ level mark. Unscrew the front plate and ensure that the manometer tube assembly is rightly placed with all connections in place.

Timer is not working.

Follow the steps mentioned in the manual provided by EIPL and set the timer step by step. If the problem persists, please contact EIPL service engineer.

Blower is not working

Please contact EIPL service engineer.

Fluctuation in the flow rate is indicated on the manometer in PM 10 sampler model - APM 460 DXNL.

This could be because of fault in the flow controller card fitted inside the logger. Please contact EIPL service engineer.

PM 2.5 sampler- APM 550 MFC & APM 550 EL

Flow Error is indicated on the display of the logger.

Please contact EIPL service engineer.

Disk Error is indicated on the display of the logger.

Remove the pendrive and insert it again.

Zero flow is indicated on the logger display.

Please contact EIPL service engineer.

Pump is not running but the display is showing some value.

Check if the VFD is running and AC filter for voltage output (should be 220 V)

Logger shows a blank display.

Check Micro- controller card is rightly placed.

Fuse is blown or blows frequently.

Check if the VFD is running and AC filter for voltage output (should be 220 V).

Filter pressure shows above 300 mm of Hg.

Check the inlet pipe for blockage and clean it. For further support, please contact EIPL service engineer.

APM 550/ APM 550 Mini

Instrument is not working on switching ON the power.

Check the power cable, input socket, and fuse.

Flow rate is very low

Check for the leakage with the help of the leak check adapter. Check the “O” ring and gasket and replace if required. Check the blue pipe connected with PU fitting for holes/cuts/ leakages.

Vacuum Pump is not working

Please contact EIPL service engineer.

Personal Dust Sampler

Instrument does not ‘START’ on switching it ‘ON’.

Check the battery, ensure that it is fully charged and the indicator is glowing. Connect the charger, wait for some time and restart the instrument.
Ensure that the battery is not kept unattended for more than 6-7 days. Battery should be charged and discharged frequently by using the equipment.

How to adjust the flow rate?

Adjust the flow with the help of a screwdriver.

Handy Sampler

Instrument does not ‘START’ on switching it ‘ON’.

Check the battery, ensure that it is fully charged and the indicator is glowing. Connect the charger, wait for some time and restart the instrument.
Check the settings of digital timer. if the problem persists, please connect with the EIPL service engineer.

SLM 100 & SLM 109

Instrument does not start on switching it ON.

Fully charge the instrument, it might take around 14 hours and try switching it ON again. If the problem persists, please contact the EIPL service engineer.

Data is not getting transferred.

Connect with the EIPL service engineer.

Weather Monitoring Station

Direction indicated in the logger is wrong.

Check the potentiometer and cable for the direction sensor.

The speed is not indicated in the logger.

Check the logger display, cable and disc and cards of speed sensor.

Temperature and humidity is not indicated in the logger display.

Check the logger display, cable and temperature and humidity sensor.

Temperature and humidity sensor shows the wrong value.

Connect with the EIPL service engineer.

Rain sensor is not working.

check the logger cable and Read switch voltage with the help of multimeter it should be 5 volts DC.
Adopt the same process for the barometric pressure sensor and the solar radiation sensor.

Problem in installing the software

Install Java In the computer by the CD provided by Envirotech Instruments Private Limited along with the weather monitoring station. In general, Java updates automatically in 15 days. Ensure that whenever you're using a weather monitoring station software the recommended Java version is installed.
