There is a requirement of intermediate checks of various flow rate measuring devices under QA & QC protocols. Low flow calibrators can be used for flow rate measuring devices in the range 0.5 – 40 LPM.

The APM 640 is connected in series with the device to be calibrated with the help of silicon tubes. System is run for a specified time period and the total volume of air passed through the calibrator is calculated from the final and initial readings of the calibrator. Flow rate in liter per minute  is then calculated after dividing the volume in liters with the total time of run in minutes and flow rate values of the calibrator are compared with the flow rate values of the unit under check/ calibration.  Run time is measured from the stopwatch. Temperature and pressure of the air is measured with the help of a temperature meter and manometer supplied with the calibrator. 

Calibrator consists of:

  • Total volume measuring device with in & out nozzles.
  • Stop watch
  • Manometer
  • Temperature meter and
  • Connectors & Silicone Tubes
