Gaseous Monitoring
The gaseous air pollutants include sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and carbon monoxide; these are emitted directly into the air by burning the fossil fuels. These gaseous pollutants have harmful effects on environment such as global warming, ozone, smog and acid rain, etc.Gaseous pollutants are usually reactive to other chemicals. This chemical property of these pollutants is useful for their monitoring.

Operation Mode | Continuous and compositing. In continuous mode air sample is collected continuously at a flow rate set by the user. In Compositing Mode, the pump is operated as per programmable ON & OFF cycle. So a composited sample consisting of small spaced out samples is automatically collected. The instrument displays and records the total volume of air sampled. |
Battery | The APM 802 VOC Sampler is provided with a re-chargeable Li-ion battery pack. The instrument will operate for 10 hours in continuous mode and 24 hours in compositing mode with a fully charged battery. Charcoal Tube | The APM 856 is supplied with two types of charcoal tubes. Stainless Steel tubes provided with the instrument can be directly inserted into Thermal Desorbers attached to Chromatographs. After desorption the tubes can be re-activated for immediate re-use. Alternatively the user can order glass tubes packed with activated charcoal. The contents of the tube are removed from the glass tube after sampling for desorption in Carbon Disulphide. The tubes can be re-packed with fresh activated charcoal for re-use. |
